Term 4 in room 12

We have all had a lot of fun in room 12 this term.

The most interesting part of this term, for the majority of us, has been learning about minibeasts and categorising them into invertebrates and vertebrates. We have been very lucky to go outside and use some of our new outdoor learning equipment. When we were outside we managed to catch various insects in our bug viewers! After we caught the insects we came back into class, looked at their body parts and feature close up and drew an annotated diagram of them! Fun, fun, fun!

Primary 5 have been learning about French colours and have enjoyed tasks to reinforce the names. Colour bingo has been a great success. We are now preparing a small lesson to teach our french words and phrases to primary 4.

In Numeracy we have been learning about symmetry, playing games, making designs and creating our own symmetrical shapes. To do this we have used some materials from the class.

We recently took part in Money Week. We watched a video to help us learn more and it allowed us to make decisions about saving and spending. A lot of us are now trying to save more of our pocket/birthday money in our school or local bank.

During term 4 we have been learning the value of musical notes and jumping and clapping out beats. We were very impressed that we managed to do a round when we were split into 3 groups!!WOW go p4/5!

This was our easi-scope camera zooming in on some insects!
AMAZING!!!!!!
We are excited about these up and coming events:
