Term 1

Welcome to Room 11’s class blog. Primary 4a have all settled really well into our new class. The children have really enjoyed mixing with new children and have made some excellent friendship.  

 As a class we have been reading Charlie and the Chocolate factory and the kids love it. This novel has allowed us to experience some really great lessons like designing our own chocolate bars and drawing just like the illustrator Quentin Blake.  

Our topic this term has been Space and we are enjoying it. Using chalk and silver glitter we created our own Constellation pictures and these look really effective. Room 11 really enjoyed learning about all the different planets in our solar system and loved watching some videos related to our space topic. 

This term we have started PATHS lessons and this has been great, we have been involved in some great discussions and have loved learning about different feelings and emotions. Pupil of the day is part of our PATHS lesson and this is something the children really look forward to, it gives them the chance to share compliments which the children are really good at.
