This term is flying in!
30 sleeps until Christmas! Can you believe it?!
We have been working extremely hard this term and it's true what they say 'Time flies when your having fun' and learning lots!
Term 2 has been jam packed in room 10. We have been very busy preparing our fantastic song for the Christmas Concert and had lots of fun making our fabulous crafts for the Christmas Fayre. Did you see what we made? Our lovely high heel and hanbag sets and tool boxes were a total sell out- a great success!
Our topic this term has been Bill's New Frock. This has been very interesting and we have learned a lot about gender inequality and stereotypes. We have even created our own advert to re-brand a toy and ,make it appealing to both boys and girls, which was previously advertised for specifically boys or girls. We have also learned how important it is to have our say about various issues but make sure that we have a reason behind what we are saying. Miss Fulton thinks we have worked very hard and we have learned a lot from the whole topic.
Firework safety was an important part of our health calendar and we were all confident with fire safety and would be able to share it with adults at home!
Remembrance Day took place on 11th Novemeber, as you know. To mark this very special day we held a one minute silence in school. Our class also created a poster to send to our French Pen Pals and a video to post on their blog about our Remembrance traditions.
Anti Bullying week was another interesting week where we took part in a Circle Time led by our class representative. This was very interesting and reinforced the tools we have available to us if we ever need help with any issues.
Our letters have been posted off to France and we are excited about receiving our replies!
We have also enjoyed a dress as you please day in aid of Pudsey and Children in Need. We wore bright colours and spotty clothes on this day and raised a lot of money for the charities.
The Christmas Fayre was a huge success and those of us who made it along said it was 'awesome', 'fantastic' and ' a great day out'.
Thanks for visiting our blog!
We will update you again soon
