Roald Dahl Day
Monday 15th September was Roald Dahl Day! To celebrate the life of this amazing author - whose books have been read by many of the children - Room 11 joined thousands of children across the globe and took part in the Puffin 'Virtually Live' Event online!
We had a sneak peak inside Roald Dahl's writing hut, where all of his writing began. He kept a very strange collection of things in his hut on a table, including a ball made out of silver chocolate wrappers and part of his skeleton which was replaced during an operation. Very odd!
We were amazed watching Roald Dahl's illustrator Quentin Blake drawing some of his famous characters live on the show. We had a go at drawing alongside Quentin Blake as he drew the Fantastic Mr Fox. It was great fun!
