Term 4

Term 4 has just started and has already been a busy one for Primary 4/5.  Our highlight so far was preparing and performing a class assembly to mark the Titanic Centenary.  Our assembly took place on Friday 27th April for the whole school and many parents.  Our class presented on facts about Titanic, retold passenger stories, danced like 3rd class passengers and sang the hymn "Eternal Father, Strong to Save" as a tribute to the victims. We were so proud to get such fantastic feedback from parents.

As well as us having our assembly on Friday 27th April, we also had a visit from Mark and Kirsty from Active Choices.  We learned about the importance of healthy eating and taking regular exercise.  Over several weeks we will be keeping track of our lifestyles using a lifestyle diary.  In this diary we will be setting food and activity goals and recording what we have been eating and how much exercise we have been doing.  Mark and Kirsty will be taking us every Friday afternoon for healthy lifestyle workshops.  We can't wait to get fit and healthy for the summer!

On Tuesday 1st May we will be right on track for our activity goal by taking part in the Kirklandneuk Sponsored Walk.  The whole school will be walking around Robertson Park to raise money.  We hope it is a sunny day!

Primary 4/5 can't wait to see what the rest of Term 4 holds for us - we will keep you updated!
