We have been busy!

Wow! What a busy term we are having! We have been working very hard so far and are looking forward to a well deserved break on the September Weekend!

During Term 1 we have been learning about Light and Sound in Science- This allowed us to identify how shadows are created and exactly how our eyes see! We has to take on the role of scientists and carry out various experiments to extend our knowledge of sound. We really enjoyed twanging rulers, clackinhg spoons and banging the drums to find our results.

We have benn extremely lucky to have rugby coaches taking us for P.E. We have all had great fun and been challenged by these sessions and some of us will be selected to play in a tournament at the end of the block.

Another exciting part of term 1 is our visit from French teachers. This will happen on 7th of October and we are really looking forward to hearing a true French accent and learning a lot more from them. We are also writing letters and creating powerpoints to send to our soon to be 'Pen Friends' in France as a result of this visit.

We have recently started our French topic which has allowed us to look at the landscape in France. We will be making comparisons between our country and France to identify key features and attractions of the countries as well as identifying famous produce and stereotypes that go with each country. We will be planning a 'trip' to France using our numeracy and maths skills to gain an understanding of the time it takes and the cost implications of such a journey or holiday.

We will update you with more after the September weekend!

Until then....

Over and Out!
