2D Shape

In Numeracy Across the Curriculum we have been learning about 2D shapes.

We can confidently recognise and name 2D shapes, so we took our learning out into the playground! In pairs, we had to find 2D shapes in our environment, using the school building, playground and local housing estate.

Here are some examples of what we found:

Garage Band Lesson!

We had a visit from our Digital Leaders this week, who showed us how to create our own music using an app called Garage Band.

We experimented with different musical instruments and backing tracks, then recorded our own voices!

We had so much fun!

Persuasive Postcards to the Prime Minister!

As part of our science topic 'The Water Cycle', we learned that one tenth of the population do not have access to clean water. As a result, many children have to walk for miles to collect fresh water every day. This means that these children are missing out on an important education. We feel extremely passionate about changing this situation, so we wrote persuasive postcards to David Cameron to influence him to help everyone access clean, fresh water.
We had our photo taken with a bucket on our head and put this on the front of our postcard, hoping that this will influence the Prime Minister as this is something we would never have to do in our country!
