Scottish book week!

Today as part of Scottish book week, we all dressed up as characters from books and we visited Waterstones in Braehead. The children were able to buy some books. We had a lot of fun.

6 and 9 times table!

This week the OCTAGONs are practising our 6 and 9 times tables! We went outside to do this actively. We played an awesome game of ladders with the stations of the 6 times tables, as well as a throwing game! Please help with our learning and practise at home too!

Self Assessing our Dioramas

I'm so impressed how sensible and fair p4a have been while assessing each other's space dioramas.

As you can see from the pictures each group is marking the diorama based on criteria the children chose for example "does the diorama have cool extras like aliens".

I love that everyone has done something a wee bit different. 

Pupils have used bouncy balls as planets

While someone else has used salt dough and has labelled all the planets 

 This other model has done two sided planets with the names on one side and the colour of the planet on the other
